I came to the conclusion that except on those rare occasions when God takes a human form that, "Stupidity is the pre-requisite to birth!"  I looked at myself first and saw stupidity then I looked at the rest of mankind and saw the same.

After I came up with this saying, I found others had come to the same conclusion.  Einstein said, "There are only two things I know that are infinite, the universe and stupidity and I am not so sure about the universe!"  I heard another say on the radio,
"The two most abundant elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity!"  I think each of us have to recognize the flaws within us before we can improve ourselves. That is why Jesus instructed us to remove the beams from our own eyes before trying to remove the motes (specks) from others' eyes.

Good and Evil can be described thus.
Draw a straight line and at one end write Jesus (Good) and at the other end write Satan (Evil).

Satan ----------------------------------> Jesus

Jesus is completely selfless and Satan is completely selfish. The more unselfish you are the closer you are to God and the more selfish you are the closer you are to Satan. All of us are on this line, some ahead in the trek back to God and some behind. What religion you subscribe to or if you subscribe to none makes no difference; it all has to do with selfishness.  Our ego is our enemy.

We do not carry our consciousness with us. It is everywhere we go like the air we breath.  Each of us is wired, so to speak to pick up the awareness allotted to us no matter where we go.  We all exist within the One Consciousness (God, Brahma, Jehovah, etc.) as our dreams at night exist within us!

Time is an illusion.
Time is held together by our memory and our imagination, but all that exists is the eternal now.  Sequences pass by us and we observe them but in reality we are eternally existent, not limited by time.  This is why the Godmen tell us to live in the present.  As a matter of fact, Ramakrishna said, "God alone is real, the world is an illusion."

There is never a time when you and I did not exist in the past, nor will there ever be a time in the future when we do not exist!
Krishna said, "Worn-out garments are shed by the body. Worn out bodies are shed by the dweller within the body. New bodies are donned by the dweller like garments."

One lifetime makes absolutely no sense
for why would one get to be Rama or Jesus, and another get to be Hitler or Jack the Ripper. The truth is we all have to keep coming back to the earth until we become the Rama or the Jesus; we keep coming back until we reach perfection.

There is no high or low among us
.  At some future point in time we all go back to God.  Let me ask you, "Which is greater, the seed, the sapling, the blossoming tree or the tree bearing fruit?" The answer:  There is absolutely no difference - the seed will one day become the tree bearing fruit (the Christ)! The differences in people are just differences in the seasons of their development.

The radiant energy from the sun is due to gravity, not nuclear fusion.  It is that simple.

Infinity is and is not
This can be understood when one realizes that Thought created the universe!   As long as the thought is there to continue it will continue but when the thought is to stop, it stops.

God never puts us through anything that He can't pull us out!   Shyama

The world is a stage and we are all actors. Shakespeare was right. Someone once asked Rama if he wanted to play the game Rummy. He said, "I only know how to play Rama!"

A man's arrogance and his ignorance are directly proportional as are his humility and wisdom!
The amazing thing is that the one who is truly wise has absolutely no concept of his/her humility.

If you can not explain something in simple terms, you don't understand it!

Evolution is real, but it is not evolution of bodies; it is the evolution of souls -- the dwellers within the bodies. The soul of the rock will someday become the soul of man. That is why Jesus said out of these stones God could make the children of Abraham. When the soul comes as man or woman, he/she has the capability of becoming one with God.

If your love of God is conditional, it is just a form of barter and mostly meaningless.  If it is unconditional, God will protect your every move! If you are being hammered on by life, there is a reason for it. Do not get depressed, ask God what He is trying to teach you. Krishna said, "And though a man be the foulest of sinners, let him but love me in right resolve.  I see no sinner that man is holy. Holiness shall soon re-fashion his whole nature and he will enter into my being.  Of this be certain the man who loves me, he shall not perish!"

If you want to be happy, learn from the young children who are pure at heart!  Young children are closer to God, they haven't been conditioned to the miseries of the world.

The only purpose in the life of man is to become perfect!  Jesus said, "Be Ye therefore perfect, even as your father in heaven is perfect!" Ramakrishna said, "Man is born to no purpose, having been given the rare privilege of being born a man is unable to become One with God in this lifetime!"  Why are these great ones telling us this?  It is because they want us to be happy. There is no happiness waiting for us there at the end of a selfish road. The objects of the senses are like fragrant flowers that when we pick them they seem so beautiful and fragrant but after a while they rot, lose their beauty and start to smell.

Lest a person brag about their religion as being the best, look at your religion and see how many perfect souls have come from it in your lifetime.  If you can't name one then you better start looking elsewhere if you are seeking the Truth.  If your religion does not teach that your purpose in life is to become perfect it is only giving you partial Truths. The Great Ones always go beyond the religious teachings of their day.

When Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through the Son", He was telling His disciples that they had to become like Him (they had to become the Perfect Son) before they could go to the Father.

The acts of selfishness - anger, lust and greed keep us from becoming perfect!  Not only do physical acts matter, every passing thought matters regarding one's spiritual progress back to God.

What is Truth?
The ultimate truth is that you, I and the rest of creation are all one with each other, so strive to live your life accordingly!

Life is more magical than the average person could ever imagine!
