Lost in a World of Sand and Sea

 

The secrets of all eternity,

Lie deep within the smallest tree,

Knowing this a truth I wander still,

Up then down each and every hill,

Ever so busy day and night,

Instead of the stillness of one-eyed sight,

But such is the plight of a fool like me,

Lost in a world of sand and sea.

 

The Lord Himself with his watchful keep,

To awaken my soul from its dark sleep,

Yet what is done with such a boon,

Squandered away on some mortal tune,

Back to the life of earths fast spin,

Rather than the search for Love within,

But such is the plight of a fool like me,

When will arrive that Blissful time,

When heart and soul beat in rhyme,

Awakened from the changing play,

Into the bright Effulgent Day,

Gone the ignorance of day and night,

Merged in the wonder of His Light,

Maybe never for a fool like me,

as a wife or husband,

sometimes you carry your spouse

and sometimes your spouse carries you.
